While generous local sponsors are assisting with our set build, we still must raise funds for spectacular set dressing and props to make Nell! truly shine. We also need to cover practical necessities—like toilet hire—for an outdoor event.

Our goal is to raise £7,500 through crowdfunding to cover these essential costs. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help bring this unique production to life. In addition, local groups will be actively involved and will receive funding to support their own activities, with any surplus reinvested into future productions—ensuring the project continues to give back to and benefit our wider community.

If you believe in the power of the arts and want to support new and emerging talent, please donate and share our

campaign. Together, we can celebrate history, community, and the remarkable legacy of Nell Gwyn with a show that will inspireand entertain. The show takes us on the journey of Nell's life from growing up in the bawdy house to becoming the King's 'favourite mistress'. Thank you so much for your support!

ANNOUNCING THE CAST

On what would have been Nell Gwyn’s 376th birthday, Pudding Lane Productions is excited to share the cast list for

Nell! The Musical in June 2026.

Nell will be played by Georgina Sweet whose credits include Ariana the Good Witch in The Wizard of Oz, Wendy in Peter Pan, Heather Chandler in Heathers: The Musical, Alaura Kingsley/Carla Hayward in City of Angels and Helen Walsingham in Kipp, the new Half a Sixpence musical.

Jordan Lee takes on the role of King Charles II; credits include Sebastian in Twelfth Night, Ralph Rackstraw in HMS Pinafore, the Caterpillar in Alex in Wonderland, and Motel in Fiddler on the Roof.

The show is an original stage production celebrating the remarkable life and times of Nell Gwyn — orange seller, comedic actress, and famed mistress to King Charles II. Nell grew up in a bawdy house, moved to the theatre to become an orange seller and from there caught the eye of theatre impresarios, diarist Samuel Pepys, Lord Buckhurst and King Charles II.

The premiere will take place on 26 and 27 June 2026 in the picturesque grounds of Charlton House, Charlton Mackrell, coinciding with the 300th anniversary of this historic venue.

It will be an outdoor production, come rain or shine, and tickets can be purchased from Ticket Tailor here:
